HEAVY VEHICLE ACCREDITATION
Coastal Midwest Transport has Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Accreditation in all required configurations including Oversize, Road Train and B Double.
HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
Our endorsed Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) system, addresses and comprehensively outlines key operational processes:
- ALCOHOL AND DRUG AWARENESS
Mandatory, random alcohol and drug testing is conducted regularly by Coastal Midwest Transport’s certified collector and representative.
INDUCTIONS
All employees and subcontractors must participate in Coastal Midwest Transport’s occupational health and safety (OHS) induction before commencing any work. Our induction reiterates and clarifies all of our policies, procedures and expectations, with a particular focus on safety.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Our personal protective equipment (PPE) policy outlines specific requirements for all employees and sub-contractors, whether working at Coastal Midwest Transport’s or third-party external sites.
PRE-START CHECKS (FORKLIFTS)
Our fleet of forklifts are subject to daily pre-start checks to ensure satisfactory working order prior to operation.
TRUCK AND TRAILER DEPARTURE CHECKS
Our fleet of line-haul trucks and trailers are checked daily prior to departure, for safe and secure loading, relevant and visible signage, and administrative compliance with the submission of paperwork for tracking.
WORK AREA INSPECTIONS
We conduct monthly occupational health and safety (OHS) inspections on all working areas, identifying and rectifying any potential or known hazards for a safe and effective workplace, compliant with Coastal Midwest Transport’s Health Safety and Environment (HSE) System.

TRAINING
Coastal Midwest Transport values safety and learning. All new personnel undertake the following coursework through certified external providers, while ongoing training is provided to existing staff that includes, but is not limited to:
